La Quinta Inn & Suites Philadelphia Airport

The La Quinta Inn & Suites Philadelphia Airport hotel is located in the community of Essington, just southwest of downtown Philadelphia. Philadelphia is the largest city in Pennsylvania, and the fifth largest city in the U.S. It was founded in 1682 by William Penn to serve as the capital of Pennsylvania.

Less than a hundred years later, Philadelphia became a hotbed of revolutionary activity. It was where the Founding Fathers met to sign the Declaration of Independence in 1776 and the U.S. Constitution in 1787. The city of Philadelphia served as one of the capitals during the Revolutionary War and as the temporary U.S. capital during the construction of Washington, D.C. In many ways Philadelphia’s fate has continued to follow that of the nation, from the rise of the Industrial Revolution to the economic changes in services, health care, information technology, biotechnology and education.
