Dining Under the Stars (thru September 28)
Every Wednesday the Borough closes State Street to vehicular traffic from 5-11pm. This allows Media’s great restaurants and shops to set up outside for the biggest, most fun, alfresco shopping and dining event around.
Linvilla Orchards’ Pumpkinland (September 10 – November 6)
An annual trip to Pumpkinland has been a family tradition for generations of Delaware County residents and visitors. Larger than life figures and scarecrows illustrate the legends and lore of the harvest season, featuring local history and some of the many stories of pumpkins and apples.
St. George Greek Orthodox Church Greek Festival (September 22-25)
Enjoy homemade authentic Greek food. Order online, in person, or feel free to enjoy your meal in the Outdoor Dining Tent. Take-out wine, beer, and homemade Greek spirits also available for purchase.
Linvilla Orchards Apple Festival (September 24)
Celebrate the Apple Harvest! Taste all the delicious varieties of Linvilla apples with apple samplings, apple pie-eating contests, fresh Farm Market treats and Pick Your Own apples. Corn Maze, Straw bale Maze, Hayrides, Train rides, Pony rides, face painting and more!
Upper Darby International Festival (September 24)
Celebrate Upper Darby’s rich cultural diversity through food, live performances, and activities for the whole family. Returning for its fifth year, this year’s festival is presented by Upper Darby in partnership with the Friends of the Tower Theater District. It will feature one main stage for a roster of cultural performances, including dancing, martial arts, and music.

Fine Arts & Crafts Festival (September 24)
Community Arts Center’s Fine Arts and Crafts Festival offers festival-goers the opportunity to buy high quality original art directly from the tri-state area’s best artists and artisans. This free event in downtown Swarthmore features over 45 exhibiting artists, artist demonstrations, kids’ activities, live music, great food, and local non-profit booths.
Philly Fall Nature Fest (September 24)
Philly Fall Nature Fest at John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge is a free event for people of all ages to discover great natural and community resources and get involved in preserving our watershed. Festival activities include archery, live animals demonstrations, guided walks, trolley tours, music, kid’s crafts, and more!
Yachtstock River Jam (September 24)
One of the region’s largest outdoor charity music festivals featuring 24 bands on 2 stages at the West End Boat Club on the scenic Delaware river.
East Lansdowne Community Day (September 24)
Come out and join the community celebration! Food, live music and family fun for for all!
Delco Arts Week (October 1-9)
Enjoy a week-long cultural festival that celebrates and showcases the creative artists and vibrant cultural institutions of Delaware County. With more than 75 events—from concerts, film, and dance, to exhibitions, festivals, theater, kids’ activities and more – visitors and residents alike will have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of events for people of all ages as Delco artists and performers share their talents and love of the arts.
Haverford Township Day (October 1)
Enjoy a community celebration that includes a parade, live music and entertainment, great food, flea market, and craft fair.
Newlin Grist Mill: Fall Harvest Festival (October 1)
A local favorite, this festival features many different historic skills and trades demonstrations, as well as fun activities for kids of all ages. This year’s theme “Food Traditions Past and Present” will highlight foods and cooking from the 18th century, along with the trades that made it possible to put food on the table in early America. Modern food trucks will also be on site offering a variety of delicious eats!
Lansdowne Arts on the Avenue Festival (October 2)
Showcasing Lansdowne’s ongoing commitment to the arts, the Lansdowne Arts on the Avenue Festival features 70+ juried artists, live music, performances, demonstrations, activities for the kids, food trucks and a beer garden.

Haverford Township Historical Society’s Oktoberfest (October 7)
Oktoberfest will take place from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Nitre Hall. The event will feature seasonal beers, German food, and live music.
Fall Into the Arts Festival (October 8)
Darlington Arts Center and Concord Township partner to kick off the fall season with a celebration of local art. Featuring local arts vendors, musical performances, food and drink, art demonstrations, and more!
Jazz & Art in the Park (October 9)
Presented by the Sharon Hill Arts & Culture Commission, this annual live Jazz and Fine Art Festival features vendors, food, and a children’s pavilion.
Ridley Park Fall Festival (October 9)
Bring your friends and neighbors for a day full of the best in family fun, with live entertainment, car show, craft vendors and delicious food!
Media Fall Festival (October 9)
Downtown Media will be alive with a mix of food, music, artists, crafters and fun!
DELCO Nite Market (October 11)
Inspired by Africa’s and Asia’s lively outdoor markets, this roving, premiere street food festival celebrates up-and-coming neighborhoods and showcases Delco’s diverse entrepreneurial landscape and vibrant art and culture scene.
4th Annual Harvest Festival (October 16)
Presented by GreenHorn Gardens & Kenwood Original, it’s a day of fun for the whole family! Live Music by Whiskey Logic, Beer & Food Garden, Pumpkin Patch, face-painting, pumpkin decorating, flower crowns, yard games and more!
Upper Chichester Community Day (October 16)
Bring your entire family out for a day of fun, food and friendship. This is the perfect time to get to know the people who live around you as well as enjoy the best our community has to offer.
The Great Pumpkin Carve (October 20, 21, & 22)
A three day ‘Chadds Ford tradition’ where over 70 giant pumpkins are carved by local artists on Thursday and will be lit and displayed on Friday & Saturday. All three nights enjoy a ‘kid friendly’ Haunted Trail, raffle prizes, live music, food local craft beer, wine and more!
Providence Animal Center’s Bark in the Park (October 22)
Walk or run in this unique dog-friendly 5K at Rose Tree Park. After the walk, enjoy a Fall Festival that includes a vaccine & microchipping clinic, dog contests, food trucks pet portraits, local business vendors, tons of raffle baskets, music, arts & crafts and so much more!
