Folk Music Gets Top Billing in Lansdowne
February 2019
The Lansdowne Folk Club presents singer-songwriters Michael Braunfeld and Kirsten Maxwell on Thursday, February 28th.

Michael Braunfeld is, first and foremost, a storyteller. His songs capture the everyday triumphs and struggles of ordinary people. His characters – though trapped in the particular circumstances of their own lives – appeal to a universal audience. He was welcomed into the Writers’ Night Family at The Bluebird Cafe in 2014 and was a finalist in the Grassy Hill Kerrville New Folk Competition in both 2016 and 2018.

She has toured extensively over the past 4 years, and shared stages with such musical greats as Melissa Etheridge, Ferron, and Karla Bonoff. Most recently, Maxwell performed a solo show at The Cutting Room in NYC, accompanied by Paul Shaffer.
The concerts are held at the Twentieth Century Club in Lansdowne. The doors open at 7:00 PM and the show begins at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $17 in advance online or via phone reservation; $20 (cash only) at the door. There is free on-street parking and for reservations or advance ticket sales call (484) 466-6213.
