Follow the Crowd to Lansdowne!
3000 people are expected to flood downtown Lansdowne, when Lansdowne Ave becomes a pedestrian-only thoroughfare between E. LaCrosse and Baltimore Avenues!
The Lansdowne Arts Festival had been an annual favorite since 2003. But in 2016, the popular event expanded! Moving outside, the new Lansdowne Arts on the Avenue Festival now features live music, artists, performances, demonstrations, activities for the kids, food trucks and a beer garden. The team from Conshohocken Brewing Company will be on hand to pour throughout the day and local restaurants will be showcasing great food and at great prices. Popular food trucks will also be on hand to make sure there’s something tasty for everyone.
Over 40 local artisans will sell their wares along the Avenue, where festival-goers will see one-of-a-kind creations and artist demonstrations. Browse or buy beautiful ceramics, photography, sculptures, paintings, drawings, jewelry and colorful mixed media designs.
AND THE BEAT GOES ON… as Jamey’s House of Music Presents the “Blues Boulevard” at the Music Tent featuring live music by the Lansdowne Symphony Orchestra (putting a classical take on the Blues) along with The Philly Blues Kings, and the day’s headliner, The Ursula Ricks Project.
Kids-be-crazy for the YMCA Kids Zone which will be in the parking lot at 30 N, Lansdowne Avenue. An inflatable obstacle course, bouncy house, jugglers, musicians, free arts and crafts and other free activities will ensures happy little ones.
