So we encourage you to visit a renowned Art Museum and beloved local Art Center that will be rocking & rolling this month, hosting music (and all that jazz!) amid rare and beautiful works of art.
The Brandywine River Museum of Art Presents Art & Music on the Brandywine
On Thursday, February 7th enjoy a delightful night of music with the Vera String Quartet which has established itself as one of the most exciting ensembles of its generation. A winner of Astral’s 2018 National Auditions, the Quartet also won Second Prize at the 2017 M-Prize Chamber Arts Competition as well as the St. Lawrence Award at the 2018 Wigmore Hall String Quartet Competition. Members hail from Spain, Cuba and the U.S. Museum opens at 6pm – music from 7 to 9pm. Prices are $15 members, $18 non-members.
The Community Arts Center of Wallingford presents two concerts this month:
On February 10th enjoy the Tri-State Jazz Society Concert featuring the Barbone Street Jazz Band from 2 – 4:30 pm. Tickets: $10 general admission
On Friday, February 22nd listen to music by Acoustic Dead – an unplugged evening of Grateful Dead tunes! Performed by local musicians from multiple bands with art provided by Drew Arata and Emily MacDonald. The evening is 7 – 10pm, and tickets are adults $15, $10 for CAC members and $5 for children under 12.
