Put on Your "Hairspray" and Revive Your "Beehive!"
The 1960’s are back and better than ever as “Hairspray” opens March 1st at the Upper Darby Performing Arts Center – and “Beehive” will create quite a Buzz when the curtain goes up at the Media Theatre!
Having a bad hair day? NO WAY! That’s the message when the Upper Darby Performing Arts Center raises the curtains on one of the most popular musicals of our time: Hairspray.
Just picture it! It’s 1962 in Baltimore, and the lovable plus-size teen Tracy Turnblad has only one desire – to dance on the popular “Corny Collins Show.” (Think B-List “Bandstand”) When her dreams come true in this classic musical, Tracy is transformed from social outcast to sudden star, and the rest is history. Get your tickets now for one of these exciting performances: March 1, 2, 8, 9 at 7:30 or March 10 at 1:30 pm.
