Looking to lighten things up a bit? There’s never a bad time to treat yourself to an extra helping of fruits and veggies, and fresh juices and smoothies are an efficient and tasty way to do just that. Full of fiber, vitamins and antioxidants, juices and smoothies help you show your body some nourishment and love, which may be extra-welcome after the holidays!
There are plenty of pre-packaged and bottled products in supermarkets, but for the maximum nutritional benefits stop by one of these Delco establishments instead. Not only will your juice or smoothie be fresher, but you’ll also get the mood boost of supporting a local business!
Here are some smoothie shops and juice bars in Delco to explore:

This family-owned Media mainstay has been providing some of the best juice, smoothies and healthy food in the area for the last seven years! Its colorful interior and fun walk-up window add to the great vibes here, and everything’s made-to-order for maximum flavor and freshness.
The Jaco Juice menu is loaded with dozens of fresh juices, immunity shots and smoothies; purists might enjoy the “naked” carrot or OJ, while adventurous types should try the C-Baby (coconut water, OJ, lemon juice, turmeric, ginger, cayenne and agave), or customize their juices with add-ons like wheatgrass spirulina or bee pollen. On the smoothie side of things, there’s just as much to choose from, from tropical concoctions, like Island in the Sun (banana, pineapple, mango, OJ and agave) to the protein-packed Nutter Butter (peanut butter, vanilla yogurt, graham and agave). Acai and pitaya bowls are also available, as are breakfast options, like granola, bagels, breakfast burritos, and Southern California-inspired fare, like tacos, rice bowls and quesadillas.

The juices, smoothie and bowls at Kay-Way are only made with fresh, whole ingredients, never artificial or processed filler. You can order their products at their storefront, online, or at the Lansdowne Farmers Market; all of its juices and smoothies are designed with functional nutrition in mind. For instance, the Strawberry Power smoothie includes moringa, an anti-inflammatory tropical plant; the Enzymes Galore juice is bursting with fresh mango, which are prized for their high antioxidant content. If you’re looking for a longer-term commitment to your health, juice cleanses and detox plans are sold in 3-, 7-, 10- or 14-day increments. A light food menu, including wraps, sandwiches, salads and blended bowls, is also on offer.
32 E. Baltimore Ave., Lansdowne; (484) 461-3141.
Founded in 2020 by recent Temple grad Brooke Lambert, Mangos & More provides a fresh alternative to fast food. Especially beloved by local school students, this small shop boasts a robust menu, ranging from fresh smoothie blends to toasts and salads. For smoothies, there is a rainbow of flavors to choose from, like the blue Baby Shark smoothie (coconut, blue majik, pineapple and mango) and the bright green Detox Smoothie (coconut water, spinach, pineapple, mango and ginger). The smoothie bowls are a real hit here, and each one is positively packed with fruit and fun toppings, like cacao nibs, granola, chia seeds and honey.

This local chain has three locations in Delco: Springfield, Ridley and Newtown Square. You can’t go wrong with anything from the menu, as each item is super-healthy and vibrant. The cold-pressed juices run the gamut, from the familiar, like Carrot-Apple-Lemon, to the mean and green, like Glambam, a blend of spinach, cucumber, pineapple, mint and lemon-lime juices. The smoothie menu is separated into categories, including Green, Nut Butter, Fruit and Superfood Smoothies. Try the Kalewhich (kale, banana, cacao nibs and almond milk) or the Good Vibes (acai, banana, strawberry and apple juice) smoothie to spark your inner glow. There is plenty of food to choose from as well, including bagels, panini, soups, salads and more.

All of the cold-pressed juices at B Foreal Juiced have clever names that start with “be”: Be Dope (a tropical agave-sweetened lemonade with pineapple and blue spirulina), Be Humble (pomegranate, red pepper, apple and orange), Be Optimistic (spinach, cucumber, ginger, lemon and apple), and so on. Each juice is made using only the freshest produce, with no sugar, water or preservatives invited to the party.
2300 W 4th St., Chester; (484) 557-5252.
The Bunny Tea & Healthy Juice
This small bubble tea shop opened in the summer of 2023 on Sellers Ave., right across the street from Veterans Park. Its cheerful, whimsical interior features a bunny theme, and has a few tables and chairs for hanging out. Though the menu skews heavily toward bubble tea, there are some great options for smoothies and juices in creative combos, like dragon fruit-mango-strawberry and beet-apple-celery-spinach, perfect for those days when you want a refreshing treat with less sugar.
115 E. Sellers Ave., Ridley Park; (717) 305-2155.
Looking for plant-based or vegan smoothies? Oasis Cafe is your spot. Every single thing on the menu is vegan, as well as gluten-free and soy-free, with no artificial colors, flavors or syrups. That means every sip is as nourishing as it is delicious! There are nearly 30 smoothie flavors to choose from, from fruit smoothies made with spring water and fruit, to extra-creamy avocado smoothies made with oat milk, to indulgent chocolate smoothies. To double-down on the health-quotient of your smoothie, add a booster or two: the list of additions includes sprouted almonds, flax seeds, hemp seed protein, matcha tea and many more good-for-you ingredients!
