Wheels of Wayne Car Show (April 30 )
This annual event has evolved into a spring tradition that features a family-friendly atmosphere with an exquisite display of local cars, trucks, and motorcycles, exciting activities, participating businesses and organizations, entertainment, great food, and lots of outdoor fun.
Dining Under the Stars (May 3 – September 27)
Every Wednesday, the Borough closes State Street to vehicular traffic from 5-11pm. This allows Media’s great restaurants and shops to set up outside (right across the trolley tracks!) for the biggest, most fun, alfresco shopping and dining event around. You’ll find kids drawing with sidewalk chalk, see store owners chatting with patrons, and hear music echoing between the buildings. It’s a like a little bit of the weekend right in the middle of the work week.
Spring Swarthmore Makers Market (May 7)
Open-air market featuring 50 local artisans and makers and their handmade creations. The market will also feature live music, food trucks and more.
Wayne Art Center Plein Air Festival (May 7-12)
This juried event celebrates the art of plein air — painting outdoors. During this time, groups of painters gather to paint at single locations or within certain geographic boundaries. These popular “Paint Outs” give artists a chance to share their talents and creativity with the public and with one another.
Jasper Street Jam: American Roots Pt. 1 (May 13)
Join Media Arts Council (MAC) the for their first block party of the summer! MAC is putting together FOUR awesome concerts this summer. Up first – American Roots Pt. 1. Bring a chair, a friend to dance with, and an empty stomach to sample local fare and beverages.

Haverford Spring Fest (May 14)
This free annual celebration is a great chance to get to know local artisans and musicians. Kids will love the lineup of inflatables, face painting and other activities. For grown-ups, there are beer gardens and a whole lineup of scrumptious treats from local vendors
Penns Woods Winery’s Derby at the Vineyard (May 20 & 21)
Enjoy this spectacular horse jumping event in the vineyard with wine, local beer & cider, and live music all day, food trucks, artisan vendors, plus a chance for kids to get up close and personal with the stars of the show at the Meet & Greet Station! Attendees are encouraged to wear their best Derby Day attire. *Tickets required.
Linvilla Orchards Strawberry Festival (June 3)
Linvilla is a great place to be all year, but one event you should mark on your calendar is the annual Strawberry Festival, which takes place during the peak of the local strawberry season. You can pick your own, but don’t leave without sneaking a peek at Delaware County’s largest strawberry shortcake, made by Linvilla’s own bakery.
Italian American Heritage Festival (June 5)
Since 2010, the Italian American Heritage Festival has drawn more than 30,000 people from the Greater Philadelphia region to enjoy a day in celebration of Italian heritage and culture at Rose Tree Park. The festival features excellent food, top-rated entertainment, an Italian car display, bocce tournaments, kids’ games, and Italian lessons on the lawn are all part of the fun!
14th Annual Heritage Festival (June 4)
Haverford Township Historical Society invites you to step into history with this day-long event along Karakung Drive. Activities for all ages include: weaving demonstrations at Nitre Hall, antique cars, local food and beverage vendors, blacksmithing demonstrations, live music, crafts and more!

Discover Haverford: Haverfood Festival (June 9)
The Haverfood Festival is a family friendly event to celebrate food and the beginning of summer! 15-20 food trucks and vendors, an inflatable slide, face painting, games and a fun zone.
Havertown Irish Festival (June 10)
Widely referred to as the 33rd County of Ireland, Havertown celebrates all things Irish in music, dance, cuisine, craft, and culture. Proceeds benefit music education and the Kelly Center for Music, Arts and Community.
Delaware County Pride Festival (June 10)
A celebration of pride and an opportunity to champion inclusion for the LGBTQAI+ community in Delaware County! This fun day in the heart of Upper Darby has music, live entertainment and performances, children’s activities, food vendors and more!
Wayne Music Festival (June 10)
This festival attracts more than 10,000 people each year with its lineup of local and regional acts. More than 75 local restaurants and vendors are also on site, and part of the proceeds goes towards pediatric medical causes.
Rose Tree Park Summer Music Festival (June 21 – August 20)
Can’t beat a free concert, right? Especially if it’s held at a scenic outdoor amphitheater at one of Delco’s most beautiful parks. Best of all, the festival’s programming is so eclectic that you never know what you’re going to get — anything goes, from classical to Cajun, Motown to rock or Broadway and everything in between.

Linvilla Orchards Summer Food Truck Frenzy (June 17)
Linvilla Orchards partners with local food trucks to bring you a food-tastic event! Along with delicious treats from the trucks there will be music and fun for the whole family!
Delaware County’s Juneteenth Celebration (June 19)
Delaware County will commemorate and celebrate Juneteenth at Rose Tree Park. The event will feature live music, activities for kids and families, food, resources for the community, talented local vendors, and much more!
Linvilla Orchards Blueberry Festival (July 8)
In early July the local blueberry season is typically in full swing. You can pick your own blueberries from acres of bushes and the blueberry pie eating contest is the highlight of the day!
Community Arts Center Tie Dye Music Festival (July 15)
The Community Arts Center in Wallingford pulls out all the stops every year for this matchup of live music and tie-dye creativity. Shirts and other tie-dye-able items can be purchased at the event, but you’ll get off cheaper if you bring your own!

Summer Fun Jam (July 22)
Kelly Music for Life presents a free event in Havertown’s Merwood Park. Featuring live music, food, vendors, kid zone, and more!
Linvilla Orchards Peach & Sunflower Festival (August 5)
Celebrate National Peach Month. In addition to 30 acres of peach trees, there are acres of sunflowers creating a magical and breathtaking experience. The day will be “jam”-packed with Sunflower Selfies, Pick Your Own Peaches, Hayrides, Face Painting, Train Rides, Fishing, Music, Games and so much more!
Haverford Township Music Festival (September 9)
Featuring popular and rising artists, representing various musical genres, from Haverford Township, the greater Philadelphia area, New Jersey, central Pennsylvania and beyond. There will also be great food, beer gardens, activities for the kids and fun for the entire family!
3rd Annual Arasapha Farms Car Show (TBD)
Trucks, tractors, big rigs, and motorcycles, a perfect family event for the summer!
Newlin Grist Mill Archaeology Festival (September 9)
A day of archaeology fun and discovering the rich archaeological heritage that lies beneath our feet! Activities include: assisting archaeologists with excavations, cleaning artifacts in the lab, “Kids Dig” and Pottery Assembly, archaeology displays & exhibits, food vendors and more! This annual event is held in partnership with the Delaware County Planning Department.
Historic Chadds Ford Days (September 16 & 17)
Join the Chadds Ford Historical Society for a historical journey back to September 11th, 1777, when the British army engaged Washington’s troops at Chads’ Ford. Two timed skirmishes and a firing demo will take place each day. Additionally, reenactors, demonstrators and other historians will be on site. Live music, food, and beverages will be available.

Marcus Hook Pirate Festival (September 17)
Head to The Marcus Hook Preservation Society’s Annual Pirate Festival to experience a full pirate encampment with period tents and showcases of crafts, firearms, cannons and even beer making. Let’s not forget live pirate music, pony rides, a petting zoo and so much more.
Swarthmore Town Center Food Truck-A-Thon (September 22)
The Swarthmore Co-Op holds one of the most beloved events of the year. A variety of food trucks and vendors will be on hand for patrons to enjoy amazing food and drinks, live music and more during this town takeover.
South Wayne Porchfest (September 23)
Free Live Music Played on the Porches of South Wayne. A joyous day of free music, friendship and fun!
Upper Darby International Festival (September 30)
Celebrate Upper Darby’s rich cultural diversity through food, live performances, and activities for the whole family. The festival is presented by Upper Darby in partnership with the Friends of the Tower Theater District. It will feature one main stage for a roster of cultural performances, including dancing, martial arts, and music.
