Dining Under the Stars (May 1 – September 25)

Every Wednesday, the Borough closes State Street to vehicular traffic from 5-11pm.  This allows Media’s great restaurants and shops to set up outside (right across the trolley tracks!) for the biggest, most fun, alfresco shopping and dining event around.  State Street, Media, PA 19063



Delaware County Pride Parade/Pride on State (June 1)

A colorful procession of participants, community groups, non-profits, and performers, showcasing a wide range of identities will make their way down Media’s State Street. You can expect to see rainbow flags, costumes, banners, music, performers, and dance, as well as informational materials and advocacy efforts from various LGBTQQIA+ organizations and allies across our region.  Following the annual Delaware County Pride Parade, stick around in Media and celebrate into the evening! Local businesses and organizations across downtown Media will be hosting a variety of LGBTQQIA+ events and activities.  State Street, Media, PA 19063


Delco Day 9 (June 1)

A 12-hour celebration of all things DELCO!  This year’s benefactor will be Delco’s HEADstrong Foundation, which provides temporary and long-term housing to cancer patients and their families free of cost.  Linvilla Orchards Strawberry Festival (June 1)

Linvilla is a great place to be all year, but one event you should mark on your calendar is the annual Strawberry Festival, which takes place during the peak of the local strawberry season. You can pick your own, but don’t leave without sneaking a peek at Delaware County’s largest strawberry shortcake, made by Linvilla’s own bakery.  137 Knowlton Rd, Media, PA 19015


Haverford Heritage Festival and Car Show (June 2)

Hosted by the Haverford Township Historical Society, the annual Haverford Heritage Festival, brings thousands of people from the whole community together for a fun-filled and relaxed day along Karakung Drive in the historic Powder Mill Valley.  Nitre Hall and Lawrence Cabin are also open for free docent-guided tours.  1682 Karakung Dr, Havertown, PA 1908


Annual Italian American Heritage Festival (June 2)

Since 2010, the Italian American Heritage Festival has drawn more than 30,000 people from the Greater Philadelphia region to enjoy a day celebrating Italian heritage and culture at Rose Tree Park.  1671 N. Providence Road, Media, PA 19063


Rockdale Music 2nd Annual West Branch Music Festival (June 2)

Scott Arboretum Rose Celebration (June 6)

Everything’s Coming Up Roses at the Scott Arboretum!  Celebrate one of summer’s most prized flowers with a free event for the whole family. Delaware County Pride Festival (June 8)

Havertown Irish Festival (June 8)

Wayne Music Festival (June 8)

HaverFOOD Festival (June 14)

City of Chester:  Juneteenth Festival (June 15)

Family-friendly event featuring live musical performances, food and craft vendors,  basketball tournament, dance competitions – and more!  2300 W. 7th Street, Chester, PA 19013


Delaware County’s 3rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration (June 19)

Delaware County will commemorate and celebrate Juneteenth at Rose Tree Park. The event will feature live music, activities for kids and families, food, resources for the community, talented local vendors, and much more!  1671 N. Providence Road, Media, PA 19063


Rose Tree Park Summer Music Festival (June 21 – August 20)

Can’t beat a free concert, right? Especially if it’s held at a scenic outdoor amphitheater at one of Delco’s most beautiful parks. Best of all, the festival’s programming is so eclectic that you never know what you’re going to get — anything goes, from classical to Cajun, Motown to rock or Broadway and everything in between.  1671 N. Brews at the Battlefield (June 22)

Immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere as you mingle with fellow beer enthusiasts and engage in conversations with the passionate brewers behind these exceptional beverages. Glen Providence Park:  Arts in the Park  (TBA – June, July, August, September )

The Friends of Glen Providence Park presents a variety of free, family-friendly musical performances throughout the summer months.  Enjoy afternoon performances on the lawn in front of the historical concert stage, then walk two blocks into town for dinner and shopping on State Street. Rain dates are the Sunday after each scheduled performance.  550 W. State Street, Media, PA 19063


Tie Dye Music Festival at Community Arts Center (July 20)

This annual family-friendly event features live music and tie dye on the side lawn at the Arts Center. (Held indoors in the case of rain.) Admission is free and attendees will have the opportunity to purchase an event shirt ($15) to tie dye themselves.  You may also bring your own item to tie dye ($5 per item.  Maximum of 3 items per person.) Please bring your own blanket or chairs for lawn seating.  Attendees may bring food and beverages. The CAC will be selling bottled water. NO PETS please.  414 Plush Mill Road, Wallingford, PA 19086


Arasapha Farms Car Show (August 4)

A celebration of automotive passion as enthusiasts from all over gather to showcase their prized vehicles ranging from classic beauties to modern marvels. A family-friendly event for participants and spectators alike.


South Wayne Porchfest (September 7 )

Free Live Music Played on the Porches of South Wayne.  A joyous day of free music, friendship and fun!


Haverford Township Music Festival (September 7)

Featuring popular and rising artists, representing various musical genres, from Haverford Township, the greater Philadelphia area, New Jersey, central Pennsylvania and beyond. Historic Chadds Ford Days (September 14 & 15)

Join the Chadds Ford Historical Society for a historical journey back to September 11th, 1777, when the British army engaged Washington’s troops at Chads’ Ford.  Two timed skirmishes and a firing demo will take place each day.  Additionally, reenactors, demonstrators and other historians will be on site.  Live music, food, and beverages will be available.  1736 Creek Road, Chadds Ford, PA 19317


Radnor Fall Festival (September 15)

The day includes live music and dance performances, face painters, The TOP DOG contest, small kids rides and moon bounces and fun for all ages ! Along the street you will find an array of local vendors and service providers as well as delicious offerings from local restaurants. Wayne Avenue, Wayne, PA 19087


 Marcus Hook Pirate Festival (September 21)

Head to The Marcus Hook Preservation Society’s Annual Pirate Festival to experience a full pirate encampment with period tents and showcases of crafts, firearms, cannons and even beer making. Community Arts Center Fine Arts & Crafts Festival (September 28)

The Nineteenth Annual Fine Arts & Crafts Festival returns to Swarthmore Town Center. Free, family-friendly event, featuring over 50 artist vendors, live music, and kids activities on the street.  Rain or Shine.  121 Park Ave, Swarthmore, PA 19081

The Swarthmore Co-Op  holds one of the most beloved events of the year. A variety of food trucks and vendors will be on hand for patrons to enjoy amazing food and drinks, live music and more during this town takeover.  121 Park Ave, Swarthmore, PA 19081


Upper Darby International Festival (September 28)

Celebrate Upper Darby’s rich cultural diversity through food, live performances, and activities for the whole family. The festival is presented by Upper Darby in partnership with the Friends of the Tower Theater District. It will feature one main stage for a roster of cultural performances, including dancing, martial arts, and music.  100 Garrett Road, Upper Darby PA, 19082
