Hoffman Park Earth Day Festival (April 20)

Dining Under the Stars (May 1 – September 25)

Every Wednesday, the Borough closes State Street to vehicular traffic from 5-11pm.  This allows Media’s great restaurants and shops to set up outside (right across the trolley tracks!) for the biggest, most fun, alfresco shopping and dining event around.  State Street, Media, PA 19063

Swarthmore Spring Makers Market (May 5)

Wayne Art Center Plein Air Festival (May 5 – 10)

This juried event celebrates the art of plein air.  Groups of painters gather to paint at single locations or within certain geographic boundaries. Linvilla Orchards:  Antique Car Show (May 19)

Linvilla Orchards has partnered with The Historical Car Club of Pennsylvania (HCCP) for over three decades to present their annual Spring Meet. More than 250 spectacularly restored and maintained antique, classic, and muscle cars take over one of Linvilla’s big fields. Previous highlights have included a 1913 Ford Model T, a 1938 Ford Woody Wagon, a 1958 Chevy Impala and a 1962 Chevy Corvette.  137 Knowlton Rd, Media, PA 19015

 

Delco Day 9 (June 1)

A 12-hour celebration of all things DELCO!  This year’s benefactor will be Delco’s HEADstrong Foundation, which provides temporary and long-term housing to cancer patients and their families free of cost.  Linvilla Orchards Strawberry Festival (June 1)

Linvilla is a great place to be all year, but one event you should mark on your calendar is the annual Strawberry Festival, which takes place during the peak of the local strawberry season. Haverford Heritage Festival and Car Show (June 2)

The annual Haverford Heritage Festival, bringing thousands of people from the whole community together for a fun-filled and relaxed day along Karakung Drive in the historic Powder Mill Valley.  Nitre Hall and Lawrence Cabin are also open for free docent-guided tours.  1682 Karakung Dr, Havertown, PA 19083

 

Annual Italian American Heritage Festival (June 2)

Since 2010, the Italian American Heritage Festival has drawn more than 30,000 people from the Greater Philadelphia region to enjoy a day celebrating Italian heritage and culture at Rose Tree Park.  1671 N. Providence Road, Media, PA 19063

 

Delaware County Pride Festival (June 8)

Havertown Irish Festival (June 8)

Delaware County’s Juneteenth Celebration (June 19)

Rose Tree Park Summer Music Festival (June 21 – August 20)

Can’t beat a free concert, right? Especially if it’s held at a scenic outdoor amphitheater at one of Delco’s most beautiful parks. Glen Providence Park:  Arts in the Park  (TBA – June, July, August, September )

The Friends of Glen Providence Park presents a variety of free, family-friendly musical performances throughout the summer months.  Enjoy afternoon performances on the lawn in front of the historical concert stage, then walk two blocks into town for dinner and shopping on State Street. South Wayne Porchfest (September 7 )

Haverford Township Music Festival (September 7)

Featuring popular and rising artists, representing various musical genres, from Haverford Township, the greater Philadelphia area, New Jersey, central Pennsylvania and beyond. Historic Chadds Ford Days (September 14 & 15)

Join the Chadds Ford Historical Society for a historical journey back to September 11th, 1777, when the British army engaged Washington’s troops at Chads’ Ford.  Two timed skirmishes and a firing demo will take place each day.  Additionally, reenactors, demonstrators and other historians will be on site.  Live music, food, and beverages will be available.  1736 Creek Road, Chadds Ford, PA 19317

 

 Marcus Hook Pirate Festival (September 21)

Head to The Marcus Hook Preservation Society’s Annual Pirate Festival to experience a full pirate encampment with period tents and showcases of crafts, firearms, cannons and even beer making. Swarthmore Town Center Food Truck-A-Thon (TBA – September )

The Swarthmore Co-Op  holds one of the most beloved events of the year. A variety of food trucks and vendors will be on hand for patrons to enjoy amazing food and drinks, live music and more during this town takeover.  121 Park Ave, Swarthmore, PA 19081

 

Upper Darby International Festival (TBA – September )

Celebrate Upper Darby’s rich cultural diversity through food, live performances, and activities for the whole family. The festival is presented by Upper Darby in partnership with the Friends of the Tower Theater District.
