Dining Under the Stars (through September 25)

Every Wednesday, the Borough closes State Street to vehicular traffic from 5-11pm.  This allows Media’s great restaurants and shops to set up outside (right across the trolley tracks!) for the biggest, most fun, alfresco shopping and dining event around.  State Street, Media, PA 19063

 

Rose Tree Park Summer Music Festival (June 12 – August 11)

Can’t beat a free concert, right? Especially if it’s held at a scenic outdoor amphitheater at one of Delco’s most beautiful parks. Best of all, the festival’s programming is so eclectic that you never know what you’re going to get — anything goes, from classical to Cajun, Motown to rock or Broadway and everything in between.  1671 N. Marcus Hook Borough Summer Concert Series (Tuesdays July 2 through August 13)

Celebrating its thirty-eighth year, the 7-concert series invites music lovers to enjoy the music that takes place along the banks of the scenic Delaware River at Marcus Hook’s beautiful Market Square Memorial Park. All programs begin at 7:00 PM.  In the event of rain, concerts will be rescheduled to the following evening.  4 E. Delaware St, Marcus Hook, PA 19061

Tie Dye Music Festival at Community Arts Center (July 20)

This annual family-friendly event features live music and tie dye on the side lawn at the Arts Center. (Held indoors in the case of rain.) Admission is free and attendees will have the opportunity to purchase an event shirt ($15) to tie dye themselves.  You may also bring your own item to tie dye ($5 per item.  Maximum of 3 items per person.) Please bring your own blanket or chairs for lawn seating.  Attendees may bring food and beverages. The CAC will be selling bottled water. Penns Woods Winery Wheels & Wine Vintage Car Show (July 27)

Arasapha Farms Car Show (August 4)

Linvilla Orchards Peach & Sunflower Festival (August 10)

South Wayne Porchfest (September 7 )

Free Live Music Played on the Porches of South Wayne.  A joyous day of free music, friendship and fun!

 

Haverford Township Music Festival (September 7)

Featuring popular and rising artists, representing various musical genres, from Haverford Township, the greater Philadelphia area, New Jersey, central Pennsylvania and beyond. Historic Chadds Ford Days (September 14 & 15)

Join the Chadds Ford Historical Society for a historical journey back to September 11th, 1777, when the British army engaged Washington’s troops at Chads’ Ford.  Two timed skirmishes and a firing demo will take place each day.  Additionally, reenactors, demonstrators and other historians will be on site.  Live music, food, and beverages will be available.  1736 Creek Road, Chadds Ford, PA 19317

 

Radnor Fall Festival (September 15)

The day includes live music and dance performances, face painters, The TOP DOG contest, small kids rides and moon bounces and fun for all ages !  Marcus Hook Pirate Festival (September 21)

Head to The Marcus Hook Preservation Society’s Annual Pirate Festival to experience a full pirate encampment with period tents and showcases of crafts, firearms, cannons and even beer making. Community Arts Center Fine Arts & Crafts Festival (September 28)

Jasper Street Jam (September 27 & 28)

Swarthmore Town Center Food Truck-A-Thon (TBA – September )

The Swarthmore Co-Op  holds one of the most beloved events of the year. A variety of food trucks and vendors will be on hand for patrons to enjoy amazing food and drinks, live music and more during this town takeover.  121 Park Ave, Swarthmore, PA 19081

 

Upper Darby International Festival (September 28)

Celebrate Upper Darby’s rich cultural diversity through food, live performances, and activities for the whole family. The festival is presented by Upper Darby in partnership with the Friends of the Tower Theater District.
