C. Sanderson Museum

Now this is a place for a scavenger hunt! This museum is made up of a crazy collection (we mean that in a good way) of local Renaissance man Christian C. Sanderson. The items are authentic, used, everyday objects that made up the fabric of the American experience.
For example, there is a tiny change purse that Jenny Wade had in her pocket apron when she became the only civilian killed during the Battle of Gettysburg. There’s an antique barber shop sign which is cool…but it becomes amazing when you find out it was painted by N.C. Wyeth. There’s a book from Benjamin Franklin’s personal library and an insane autograph collection with names like Indian Chief Sitting Bull, Alexander Graham Bell, and Thomas Edison. And while this may not be one of the fanciest museums ever, we think it’s one of the most fun.
