Delaware County Institute of Science

Galileo once said, “You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him discover it in himself.” Sounds like he would have been a fan of the Delaware County Institute of Science – where guests can examine a wide variety of scientific specimens for themselves.
DCIS has amassed quite a collection of specimens in its 185-year history. There are mounted birds and animals, fossils, shells, corals, and minerals from all around the globe, bringing a world of discovery (and learning!) to the heart of Delaware County.
The museum is open on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings. Admission is free.
