Located about half a mile from the historic Brandywine Battlefield and the famous Brandywine River Museum of Art, this restaurant is housed in beautifully restored 1703 stone cottage. The ambience is elegant and menu is upscale. The chef offers traditional American fare with outstanding chops, steaks and seafood. He surrounds the meats with organic produce from his own garden and his wine list is premier.
In fact, the managing partner, Michael Majewski, got his start in wine in the early 90’s at Griglia Toscana as apprentice to Italian wine expert Frank Splan. As Frank’s co-pilot, Michael traveled extensively in Italy, France and Germany, and California visiting the small, artisan farmers and wine makers that rarely leave the ranch. It addition to our well priced wine list guests are welcome to bring their own bottle for a $6 corkage.
