No doubt about it—IceWorks is the coolest place in Delco! Beginners can venture out onto the ice on one of four ice rinks and then relax (or recuperate in some cases) in the Pub & Grill, which is not to be confused with a “snack bar” as found in most ice rinks. This is a real pub and grill—with about 50 beers on the menu and enough HDTVs to keep the parents happy while the kids skate.
As the only public rink in the United States or Canada that has a professional coaching staff, IceWorks is also home to many of the area’s aspiring hockey players and figure skaters who attend programs overseen by former professional hockey players Jim Watson and Stephane Charbonneau and Olympic figure skating coach Uschi Keszler.
On the ice and off, it’s definitely a great place to chill out.
