Brandywine River Museum of Art

The Brandywine River Museum is home to three generations of Wyeth art, some of the most beloved and recognizable American artwork. Guests to the museum not only get to study these masterful works up close, but they also get to explore the environments in which they were created.
Tours of the N.C. Wyeth House & Studio, the Andrew Wyeth Studio and the Kuerner Farm (a major source of inspiration to Andrew) are available daily to guests from April until late November.
Whether it’s the carton of eggs sitting next to Andrew’s easel (artists mix egg yolks with pigments and water to create tempera paint) or the props scattered throughout N.C.’s creative space, a visit here allows a guest to understand the authentic and inspiring work of an artist and bringing a new depth to the images on the museum walls.
