Whether you prefer luxury accommodations or a quaint bed & breakfast stay with a countryside view, Delaware County, PA has lodging for every type of traveler. Explore one-of-a-kind stays and traditional comforts before you plan your business or leisure weekend get-a-way.
Up your to-go game! In Delco, we’re lucky — we have the area’s best takeout options. We’ve got everything from hot dogs to seafood, pub grub to fine dining, plus beer, wine and mixed spirits drinks to-go.
We’ve noshed and quaffed our fair share from our favorite establishments — it’s hard to choose! So, we decided to start with the basics: pairing comfort food with beer and Italian food with wine featuring two Delco stalwarts: 2SP Brewing Company and Penns Woods Winery.
Friendly reminder before we get into it: Remember to wear a face covering/mask if you choose curbside pickup.
Beer Here!
The team at 2SP Brewing Company likes its takeout like it brews its beer: unpretentious. They were only too happy to suggest a pairing … or, four! Although it was a tough job to eat all that local takeout, appropriate social distancing was maintained at the brewery to get the job done.
Consider these stick-to-your-ribs options with 2SP brews:
Cocco’s Pizza plus Delco Lager. Seriously, does it get any more Delco than pizza and a lager?!
Wolf’s Superior Sandwiches’ hoagie, cheesesteak or wings (all of those?) with Up & Out Hazy IPA and Pony Boi Golden Lager.
Thunderbird II’s chicken cheesesteak, rollettes (try the cinnamon coated cannoli!) or spinach salad (again, why not all three!) withEastwood West Coast IPA or 2SPils unfiltered German Kellerbier.
Famous Crab Cakes and More by Rigatoni’s crab cakes and taters with Up & Out Hazy IPA, 2SPils unfiltered German Kellerbier or Voluptuous Fuzz American wheat ale with peach and apricot puree (that’s a spring beer but it might still be available when you call).
2SP’s Tasting Room will be open 1 to 7 p.m. daily for curbside pick-up only. If you have questions about beer styles or pricing, please feel free to call between those times, or message them on Facebook or Instagram. Things are changing rapidly in Pennsylvania, so watch social media which is also updated daily with the latest brews available in cans, crowlers and growlers.
Note: Delivery areas vary by restaurant; call to inquire.
Order Cocco’s Pizza online for takeout or delivery and consider a pizza kit, which is fun for kids of all ages. Check out the wings, sandwiches, salads, burgers, fresh soups and chili — everything you’d expect from a great pizza shop, and then some. Open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight, and Sunday from noon to 11 p.m.
Proudly delivering to all of Delco and West Chester (in Chester County!), Wolf’s Superior Sandwiches is open for curbside pickup, too, Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Browse the menu online and call to order. The menu item names are as tasty as the food! Dig into sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, tacos, hoagies and lots more.

Thunderbird II boasts a nifty online ordering system that retains your credit card info (since you’ll be re-ordering regularly!). Peruse the online menu and then set up your account. This joint is another solid pizza shop; we can’t pass up the tomato pies and the rollettes (they look like eggrolls and are stuffed with pizza shop goodness). Open every day from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Thunderbird II, 188 Saxer Avenue, Springfield, (610) 328-1131.
The name says it all: Famous Crab Cakes and More by Rigatoni’s. Brace yourself: You can also indulge in the giant crab pretzel supreme and four other crab-laden pretzels. And crab sandwiches. And … well, check the menu for all-things-crab and then some, such as dreamy fried chicken, then hit “Order Online” to choose your method. You can also call to order, too. Open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

It’s Wine O’Clock
It just so happens thatPenns Woods Winery‘s wines are inspired by president and winemaker Gino Razzi’s home country: Italy! That makes them a natural partner for Italian fare. In fact, the winery has partnered with Talluto’s on an at-home menu — some will call it Nona’s favorites, some fine dining, but all will deem it delicious — and it will have you reaching for your songs of Italy playlist.
Talluto’s also boasts a new-and-improved online portal and a sweet deal that includes Penns Woods Winery’s wines. Start with these two tempting pairings:
Fettuccine Alfredo with Chardonnay
Spaghettini and Meatballs with Pinot Noir
You can stock up on those wines and more with Penns Woods Winery’s curbside pick up every day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and by appointment. There’s also free delivery within a 15-mile radius of the tasting room when you order 6 or more bottles, and if you’re in Philadelphia, you can snare free delivery on 6 or more bottles on Friday (those orders must be placed by noon on Thursday). If you’re outside of that window, Penns Woods will ship your favorites for a $15 flat rate (two bottle minimum); or, order 12 or more and your shipping is free within Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Order from the website by clicking on Shop or call in your selections. Note: Wine Club members may order by email!
It goes without saying that Talluto’s stands for fresh and homemade — but that’s worth repeating. Drool your way through the products, and then call to place your order for curbside pickup Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. You’ll find meats, cheeses, pastas and dinner specials that practically ask for Penns Woods wines. We love the dinner specials which make creating a memorable meal easy since they come with everything you need to pull together a meal for four. Remember to pick up some homemade cheese, and don’t be afraid to go super simple with sandwiches to go. Sandwiches go great with wine, too! Watch Talluto’s Facebook page for the latest!
