Wayne Art Center

More than seventy-five years ago, Quita Brodhead (admit it – anything started by a woman with that name is going to be cool) started the Wayne Art Center in a garage on Louella Avenue because “there wasn’t anything like it outside of town.” The center started with 119 children enrolled in arts classes.
Today, it offers instruction in all phases of the fine arts including contemporary crafts, music, culinary arts and drama. There are opportunities for students of all ages, including classes for families to attend together, classes for scouts and homeschool students, and classes for adults with mental challenges. With an exhibition gallery and shop available year-round, you don’t have to make the art to enjoy it.
