Delaware County Institute of Science
The Delaware County Institute of Science has amassed quite a collection of scientific treasures in its more than 185-year history. There are mounted birds and animals, fossils, shells, corals, and minerals from all around the globe, bringing a world of discovery (and learning!) to the heart of Delaware County. The museum remains closed to the public, but their monthly lecture program presenting subjects of scientific, technological or nature interest is still on, but virtual, this year. The series is free and open to anyone via Zoom. Upcoming speakers include: a glaciologist, an Associate Professor of Food Marketing, and a research biologist.
